CAAP's mission is to unify the physician community
and advocate for their collective interests.

The Coalition of Athens Area Physicians (CAAP) is a physician organization of over 300 physicians dedicated to providing the most cost-effective, quality medical services available to Athens area residents, businesses and industry. CAAP has a comprehensive network of physicians participating in many managed care programs. Our physician network includes quality healthcare providers covering nearly every specialty.

History

Established in 1994, CAAP was formed as an organization that can respond to employers needs for:

• Lower health care costs.
• Improved efficiency through better management and coordination of care.
• Broad geographic access to physicians.
• High quality through focused, stringent credentialing processes.

CAAP currently has the largest Physician-owned network participating in any managed care program in the Athens area. By accessing the CAAP network, payors and employers have the advantage of accessing a product that provides them with immediate access to health care cost savings, better management and coordination of care, and enables them to seek care from the participating physician provider of their choice.

Organizational Commitment

As a provider-owned and operated physician organization, CAAP is an Independent Physicians Association (IPA) developed to support its physician members and the patients of Athens, Clarke and surrounding counties.

We offer services and support to Physicians to assist in protecting the economic viability of their practices. We are committed to making the future of your practice a better place to be. Through our Managed Care, Marketing, Discount Programs, Communications Services and Resources we are helping the Physicians of Athens and surrounding counties step into the future with continuing success.
